Finance Advice Expert Position at ING Wholesale Banking

ING Wholesale Banking Finance is looking for an ambitious, data-driven Finance Advice Expert to act as a financial business partner, providing finance advice to the senior management of ING Wholesale Banking (WB).

Your New Role

We are seeking a finance business partner for one or more of the Wholesale Banking MT members and their organizations. You will be responsible for providing management information, analysis, and business advice on cost and FTE, supporting them to meet the Financial KPI’s and optimize their cost structure. The primary internal stakeholders are the functional heads (TECH, COO, CFO, HR, Change & Transformation, etc.). Together, you will prepare their Dynamic Plan and Rolling Forecast and analyze their realization against targets.

The Team

As a member of the Finance Business Advise (FBA) Business Support team, you are part of the Wholesale Banking Finance Organization in Amsterdam. Operating in a dynamic global environment with many internal stakeholders, you will be part of a team of approximately 10 professional finance advice experts who will coach and challenge you to become a business partner that adds value to the business.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Monthly Reporting: Provide input for the monthly closing process, analyze performance, and create and present the monthly report on results for your domain.
• Rolling Forecast: Organize and facilitate the rolling forecasting process by gathering all required data and analyses to come to a reliable rolling (multiyear) forecast.
• Business Cases: Contribute to developing business cases, quantifying current costs, project investments, and ROI. Present financial results during and after implementation.
• Financial Modelling: Gather input and build financial cost models to support strategic costing for intra/intercompany charging of WB Tech services.

• Current residency in the Netherlands
• Master’s degree in finance (e.g., Economics, Business Administration, Business Economics)
• 5+ years experience in Management Accounting / Business Advice
• Data fluency: Understand, analyze, and effectively communicate with data. Combine data sources, analyze them, and create actionable information.
• Excellent skills in MSOffice (Excel, PowerPoint, PowerQuery, PowerBI, Thinkcell, etc.) and preferred knowledge with Oracle Hyperion Planning, Cost Perform, Smartview.

• A salary indication tailored to your qualities and experience in GJA16 (FS10), Finance Advice Expert III. The role is positioned within GJA 18. Depending on your background and expertise, placement in a higher or lower scale may be considered.
