As a Finance manager in the financial sector, you will provide consultancy services to finance and/or control departments of financial institutions on a project basis.

Job Description & Summary
As a Finance manager, you will be part of a team of professionals in the Financial Services group. Together with your team, you will be responsible for implementing challenging and complex Finance assignments and transformations at prominent financial institutions. For example, you will be working closely with the client on processing changes to regulations (including IFRS), reviewing/improving reporting, optimising financial processes and structuring financial data. Furthermore, you will be advising the client on new technologies that may impact the Finance organisation.

Responsibilities
As a Finance manager in the financial sector, you will provide consultancy services to finance and/or control departments of financial institutions on a project basis. You will be involved in large change programmes and projects in the area of law and regulation implementation (including IFRS) and accelerating and improving financial reporting and processes at our clients both in the Netherlands and abroad. Furthermore, you will be advising the client on new technologies and their possible impact on the Finance organisation. 

In addition to providing advice and guidance to the client, you will play an important role in the further expansion of the FS Finance team. The team is strongly focused on growth, which will create plenty of opportunities for your own development and entrepreneurship

Requirements
You are an ambitious and experienced Finance professional, specialised in the area of Finance issues in the financial sector. You want to grow further, share your acquired knowledge, expand your network and pursue your maximum potential, as well as that of your colleagues. In short, you are ready for the next challenging step in your career. 

  • You have a university degree. A completed RC study programme is preferred.
  • You have around 5 to 8 years’ work experience, preferably with a well-known consultancy firm or in the financial function of the bank or insurer.
  • You have experience and an affinity with subjects such as finance transformations, process optimisation, performance & cost management, planning and control cycle, closing, consolidation, management reporting and/or regulatory reporting such as DNB/ECB and/or IFRS regulations.
  • You have a thorough knowledge of financial instruments and their reporting
  • You are up to speed on the latest technological developments in the financial world
  • You excellent communication skills in both English and Dutch (written and spoken).
  • You are open to working in an international context
  • You are able to inspire clients and convince them of the value of your advice
  • You have shown that you are willing and able to assume responsibility to provide support for the practical implementation of your advice.
