Are you the entrepreneurial, data focused Product Owner which helps NN Bank to unlock the treasure trove of commercial data we have in our hands, enables our data scientists to easier do their job and can bring our Azure Data & AI platform to the next level? What you are going to do

The vision for the Data & AI Platform is to create one Bank data platform to achieve Bank wide data enablement through data democratization & reusable AI building blocks. This means you will be the central party for our data publishers, data consumers and engineering teams for all their data & AI needs.

To enable our teams to easier consume data we are overhauling our data lake strategy. Your team will be responsible to create the single pane of glass our data consumers will use to create their data products the mechanisms for our publishers of data to deliver these into this centralized data lake solution. We have selected Unity Catalog for this.

You will also get ownership of our graph based database (Neo4j) which we use to provide a customer 360. This solution has been envisioned for event based orchestration of real-time marketing and fraud detection in our payments domain and we expect demand for this solution to steadily grow over time.

Next to Data you will also be responsible for the success and implementation of our commercial Data & AI services. We have a lot of initiatives in this emerging field which need productization and standardization. Improve upon the AI services which are provided by our vendors, create blueprints for AI usecases to be easily implemented by our engineering teams and support them with lifecycle management on AI Solutions are just a few challenges to get started. As Product Owner Data & AI platform you will work together with our Head of AI and NN group to create a vision on how we can mature AI usage across Nationale Nederlanden.

Furthermore you are a true ambassador of data driven use cases and help the business domains understand the opportunities at their doorstep. Some examples of those are real-time marketing propositions based on customer engagement, cost savings through reduction of manual labor or prevention of mistakes & fraud.

With the availability of more commercial data and the emergence of solutions where this data can be leveraged it is your task to manage the workload of the team. You are a battle-hardened Product Owner; you manage & prioritize the product backlog, communicate with stakeholders and make informed decisions about the roadmap to meet business objectives.

What does your team do?

Just to name a few of the things you & your team will undertake:

Collaborate with the business on Data & AI usecases to improve our operational efficiency or unlock value existing within the commercial data available in Bank
Design and convert our existing datalake landscape into ‘onebankdap’, the central platform our data publishers use to provide data to our data consumers across the bank
Provide support to our Data Engineers & Data Scientists by creation of AI Building blocks
Own the Customer 360 graph database – with its rich customer data we can enable our Data & AI use cases
Maintain the connections with the data lakes to ensure we have the data aggregated to enable the insights needed
Enable our analysts to do report outs & exploration of our customer data using PowerBI

Responsibilities in this role:

Work with stakeholders to define long-term vison for the Data & AI platform and set clear, measurable goals for its development
Develop and maintain a prioritized product backlog, making decisions based on business value and technical feasibility, ensuring successful and effective implementation of the platform and services
Collaboration with Payments domain to deliver marketing & fraud business cases
Conveys the product vision and product strategy to the members of the team, inspiring them to create extraordinary results
Constantly analyze emerging trends in the market in partnership with the Head of AI at Bank to evaluate which are relevant
Act as a bridge between the platform team and stakeholders, gathering feedback and ensuring needs are understood and managing expectations
Ensures that the user stories are well formulated and aligned with the product strategy
Identify and mitigate risk related to the Advanced Business Analytics Platform including technical challenges, data quality issues and regulatory compliance
Plays a key role in the Product Increment (SYNC) planning, ensuring realistic goals for each quarter
