Your job

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Climate Reporting Domain Expert to join our Climate Team. 
As Climate Reporting Domain Expert you are responsible for coordinating, implementing and executing the CSRD Climate related reporting requirements. As part of the SCE Climate Team, you take on an oversight role and, based on your expertise, you support the business in CSRD and sustainable reporting. You are familiar with a range of internal and external rules and regulations and you provide full-scope advice on implementation, the interpretation and communication of CSRD regulation within the bank. You give advice on strategy development and policy development, and you make implementable proposals. You will work in a team of ca 10 colleagues focusing on climate as an analyst or domain expert. 

Key responsibilities:
•    Take oversight, provide direction and focus and execute on Climate reporting requirements, such as CSRD
o    Operate as the unique knowledge partner in the team with relevant and up-to-date insights on climate 
o    Report Climate related requirements and advice on implementable actions
o    Advise on actions to be taken to align with regulation and best practices and achieve Net Zero by 2050
o    Apply knowledge on policies, processes, rules and regulations into the organisation to add value to clients and our client units
•    Work as catalyst for enhanced ABN AMRO wide collaboration
o    Connect with experts and senior leadership 
o    Enable bank wide collaboration to identify and assess climate risks and opportunities
o    Positioning of Climate in various internal bodies and external sector associations and other professional consultative bodies or at conferences
o    Define policy proposals and business cases based on strategic analysis
 

Working environment

The Climate Team is positioned at Group level and reports to the bank's Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) and has the ambition to create a net zero bank. The Climate team is part of the Sustainable Centre of Excellence with 70+ FTE focused on sustainability, such as Human Rights, Social impact, Circular economy, Nature and Climate.
 

Your profile

Education: University Master's Degree or comparable level in a relevant field such as sustainability reporting, sustainable finance, economics, business administration
Experience: a minimum of 7 years experience in Climate and Sustainability, Financial Industry and Research & Analysis
Competences: analytical, strategic, consultancy, result oriented, leadership, collaborative, excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, fluent in English and Dutch.
